"Good taste is all very well, but it's a little dull without an element of whimsy. I don't do rules. For me, it's all about filling each space with things you love. Coming home should brighten your mood and if you follow rules, you tend to get rooms that feel overly decorated and uptight. I want each room to feel glamorous, visually intriguing and packed so full of stuff that guests don't know where to look!" Abigail Ahern, British Interior Designer.
Wow, that's exactly how I feel. I love to see homes that show their owner's personalities, their loves and interests, something personal that gives you an insight into their lives.
I was alerted to the talents of Abigail Ahern by
Australian Home Beautiful October 2011 (page 50). I checked out her blog
here and am so impressed with her style. Abigail has an incredible eye for colour, combining moody hues with wonderful textures, antiques, collectibles and modern and kitsch pieces.
